Every fall, Sony Music Group convenes roughly 150 top executives from around the world in New York City for its annual Global Strategy Meeting, setting the direction for the year ahead. For four consecutive years, I’ve designed the suite of branded assets shaping the event’s look and feel, work that spans large-scale print production and live event design outside my usual digital and social focus.
Each year brings a new visual direction. This iteration was anchored by a bokeh treatment evoking New York’s city lights, grounding the conference in its setting while lending the aesthetic a sense of energy and occasion. Working from creative direction set by the Creative Director, I extended the visual system across every touchpoint of the event.
The deliverable suite spanned print and digital: name plates, welcome notes, and thank you cards from the Chairman and CEO on the print side; 33 holding slides and 13 app graphics covering the event homepage, schedules, speaker profiles, and branded screens on the digital side. With details evolving until the last minute, the project demanded both creative precision and operational agility.
For an audience of global executives, there’s little room for error. There’s no better measure of trust than being called back four years running.
